There are important cultural considerations when working to intervene in teen dating violence in the African American community. Historically, domestic violence in the African American has been dealt with privately, and the history of racism in the United States may cause people to want to protect black male perpetrators and may also prevent black female victims from seeking assistance within the justice system. This video gives important recommendations for working within this community.
